thoughts about the war

for 22 år siden 0 147 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I hope this doesn€™t sound too selfish, but with everything I have been dealing with I have totally shut off everything that is going on regarding the war. I won€™t let myself think about it and don€™t watch the news or anything with regards to the war, I€™m afraid one more thing to stress me out is the last thing I need. I know that sounds very selfish but I can€™t do anyone any good if I don€™t get myself right first.

Hi Wanda and everyone, Thanks for your posting about the war. Yes, it has at times added to my anxieties: in fact from time to time I've had to make a special effort to distract myself; get involved in other activities, so as to be able to calm down again and not think about it for a while! I so agree, the bravery of our soldiers (British and American) is wonderful, and the suffering of the people in Iraq is upsetting. But I remind myself that I won't be helping any of them by getting upset about it: the best I can do is carry on with my responsibilities here, as well as I can, so that the free and successful societies they're fighting for/seeking continue to thrive! I'm off this morning to visit my parents in London for a week. I'm a bit panicky and shaky about the train journeys but it's all booked and paid for, so I have to be brave! Look forward to reading all your posts when I get back. Bye everyone! Love, Sarajo.

Dear Group, I am curious, has anyone found that their level of anxiety has heightened from direct results of the war in Iraq. I find myself somewhat, quiet, just watching, trying to even gather a smithering of how those men and women might feel. I can't. I can only pray for them an be proud of them. But, I can say this, the next time I have an anxity attack, I will try and think of the bravery they showed - and maybe , that will give me courage to face my panic. Bye for now...
