Stinkin' thinkin' has ended many long quits in my life. I'm so happy to hear how you dealt with the thoughts. I need to get to the point where I will do the same 1 month or 5 years from now. Recognize the thought for what it is and figure out a way to make it go away or something to substitute for it.
Thanks for sharing that it can definitely be done!

You and I have talked about this a few times before that you've had those junkie thoughts. I too have thought similar things, but more like "I haven't slipped in a while, so I think I'm starting to forget what it's like. Maybe I should do it again so I can remember." Isn't it funny how crazy our junkie thoughts can be?!?! Glad they're just thoughts and we don't have to act on them!
Crave the Quit!

Wow that's funny, my brother who quit 20 years ago says he gets these fleeting thoughts once in a while. On the other hand hubby who quit 30 years ago says it never crosses his mind. I think it depends on the type of smoker we were.

I hadn't thought of that one. Thought I had experienced every possible junkie thought! Don't test the just one theory. Aren't you glad it is so much easier to resist now? :)

OMG, I cant believe this. OK, Im 17 months quit. Havent had a crave since lets see this past summer during a power failure. Before that was gee early spring, late winter? I honestly dont remember. Anyhow, the distinct junkie thoughts quit waaaaaay before then. And today I had one. Clear as a bell. No crave or anything like that, just a thought that floated through. Cracked me up. Here it is:

Yall keep up the great quits everyone.
