The Storms Are Rolling In

Hi Duckie First of all, congrats on dealing with all of this so early in your quit! I know that this is one of the hurdles that I need to be prepared for. Son't you wish there was an easier way to get through this!!?? Hopefully, one of the suggestions such as friend/relative or rental might work for you. It is very discouraging to have to wait any longer for something that you have been dealing with for so long. Wishing you many rainbows after this rain...and hoping all works out for tomorrow. Hi Ducky Life is a ***** sometimes but the flaming car would have packed up whether you smoked or not I got back from 3 weeks holidays yesterday morning at 4.00am had 3 hours sleep and had to go to the newsagents(NO CIGARETTES!) to pick my paper up followed by numerous family visits and a supermarket trip. The flamimg car battery was flat!!! Good job I had no smokes! Anyway kicked the car and called out the repair guy. He fired it up and all is fine since! Interesting how clean my car smells after 3 weeks and not a trace of tobacco!! I am going to the Docs in the morning but thats life!! Keep going! Even tho is is only 640am, I was up at 530am. Our car has been messing up and after several years and just in the recent months, I had begged hubby to have it looked at. He kept putting it off. My most important appt w/ the GI doc is tomorrow and I am afraid I will have to cancel it. I have been waiting 3 weeks for my results to find out what they are going to do. I have been living w/ pain in the breatbone area since July, bloat off and on since July. He came home from work early this morning, and told me about the vehicle. I wasnt even awake and when a problem arises that is beyond my control, I would reach for my smokes, go outside, and sit. I sat on the couch and started crying. The junkie inside was crying out for a smoke, but my mind was saying how would having a smoke, solve the problem? I was literally in turmoil. With strength, I pulled the junkie voice out and 'tossed' it into the corner. I held onto my rational thoughts and basically talked myself out of wanting one. I figured if the results were bad, they would have called me by now so no news is good news, Right? The doc's office is over an hour away so taking a taxi is out of the question. It feels like I am on a tiny raft, being tossed around in the Atlantic and there is nothing but water surrounding me. Faith. Deep Breathing. Mind Occupying. I keep asking what have I done to deserve this? Why so many trials and tests and all at once? Were they there all along and I chose to hide behind the smoke? So many questions to anwser =( Thanks for listening to me babble again. Coffee. I need coffee. Hello everyone. Well, I did call the doc 2 weeks ago in ref to my results and they refused to give me the results via phone. The receptionist said I had to come in and get them. So what I did was ask her if I asked the 'right' questions would she 'help' me out. So she said yes. I asked her if the results were bad, the nurse would call me back asap and she said yes. BUT I havent heard anything except for her to call back and schedule a follow up which she did. So I heard nothing from them to have me come in immediately. No, no family and all of my friends work during the day =( As for the car, Hubby is talking to the insurance company now b/c he said on teh way home from work, he hit a submerged pothole which caused something to make the vehicle shake from 0 mph - 15. I thought maybe he knocked it out of realignment and he said no. It seems to be 'slipping'. I know nothing of cars and we have an automatic. He said we are covered under insurance so I told him to call to make sure we are actually covered. I watched Madea's Family Reunion and OH MY!! Great movie!! Maya Angelo and Cicely Tyson are in it!! A dream come true!! I love both of those actresses and as both ladies spoke, I was in total awe. I love them so very much!! They have strength in them I wish I had. I want to meet them!! I think for my next reward, I shall buy one of Maya's books. I am sure I can learn from her =) Thank dear friends for hearing my voice. I literally felt all alone when in reality, you were my beacons of light and hope. My very own lighthouse!! ADD IN: Now we have to wait for the insurance adjuster to call.
