Agoraphobic Time Warp

Last post before I go snuggle with my teddy bear - o.k., I have gotten 500% better since my pacic attacks were 'critical' due to therapy and proper medication, reading and researching, meditation and staying away from alcohol, smoking, drugs and other anxiety provoking activities (I don't have all the answers, it still is bewildering at times) - my agoraphobia equates with my anxiety - I must say, this condition will be with me forever because of my MVP - it just seems to flair up now and then - I can go for months with my anxiety totally under control, navigating my life with no problems - then, out of the blue it starts up again. Nite Nite, Maria

Sounds like agoraphobia to me. I guess what I wonder is if you are like me or not. Have things over the past few years slowly but surely been getting better, or are things staying the same, or are things getting worse? If things are slowly getting better you are probably on the right track. I know I go through some pretty rough times but things are slowly improving and I try really hard to focus on that.

Sometimes I stay inside for so long or, get to the point where I will ride my bike - and begin to 'panic' when I am only a few blocks from home - and that journey home seems like a mile - my point is this: sometimes I stay inside and so close to home I will lose a few days - many times it will be, let us say Tuesday, and will be, in actuality, Thursday - does not happen often enough, though, for me to think it is anything serious. I'm used to it, don't like it, but I'm used to it. I think when I go back to work on the outside world, I will be forced to conform to a more rigid schedule, I hope I can handle it. Bye for now, Maria P.S. Just sharing the facts about this issue gives me anxiety.
