spiders, When roaming through the forums, you will come across numerous members who have reported similar dreams. This is very common in a quit. Stay strong, Melanie ____________________ The SSC Support Team

i had the dream last night. that i smoked an entire cigarette. it was blond with long legs, and every drag oozed with desire. it last over an hour it felt like, each moment savored. it had a brown filter unlike the brand i had smoked for years - new, dangerous, and luxurious. even in my dream i felt like a cheater. upon waking up, i was consumed with guilt. it took me a few waking minutes to realize that, it was a dream, that i had not let myself down. Con - This is indicative of my mental state these past couple of days. With the honeymoon period over, i'm find my thoughts drift back. and longing...... Pro - I felt i had let myself down, hence I am a non-smoker and made a serious commitment to myself and would be devestated if I broke that promise. Honestly, I am trying to treat it like an ex. After some time goes by i forget how nasty and skanky they were, and the rosy colored glasses and I would reminisce about the "good times". So i'm reminding myself that if i do the pathetic, lame thing and "call", it will just turn out bad and i'll end up feeling worse anyway. any hints for the longing? in my dream i felt like i cheated and i felt guilty. My dream had 3 cigerettes in it. People kept putting them in my mouth. When I woke up i was in a fog state and had to shake my head and tell myself it was only a dream, and now it is over. to sit back and watch how hard our bodies are taking on the job of cleaning up the crap we put it through is amazing. -shamrock meg- My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 35 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 601 Amount Saved: $124.25 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 20 Mins: 43 Seconds: 11

Hey Smiley, Try to keep the nasty skanky part fresh in your mind. I am coming back after a momentary lapse of reason (2 months) and they (cigs) are so gross. It is so not worth it and I did feel like I let myself down. Keep the quit, stay strong. No romance, only reality. And the reality is death if you smoke. :eg: N.O.P.E Not One Puff Ever Elizabeth ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 59 Amount Saved: $8 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 20 Seconds: 29
