My question is, how do you function those first few days. My problem is that I tell my self that I can't do my job adequetly if I don't smoke.. I just feel dumb when I'm not smoking.. help!

If you've not already worked the tools in this program (see the menu to the left), then you'll definitely want to do that. Also, log on to this site often, read, post, read, read, read then post some more. You'll learn some valuable information as you get through those cravings.
For the first two or three days while the chemicals leave your system, doing your job may be a little more difficult but it will return to normal. Take it easy on yourself as much as you can. Get a plan ready for when a craving hits. Have gum to keep your mouth busy, candies to help with the sugar fluctuations, some have used straws to breathe through...
I'm sure others will be along with more suggestions. Hang in there...post when you need us! :)
