Oh, I just read all this; Penguin's suggestion about looking into mindfulness reminds me that I have been meditating almost every morning for the last couple of weeks, and aside from the always-helpful calming of the mind, just the exertion of that lttle amount of self-discipline reminds me that I can probably tap in to some more.
You guys are very nice..
Yes I am jealous that you are smoking again I would love to smoke again (I never will, but sure would love to) The truth is if smoking did not have such a public stigma to it and was not so expensive I would never have quit. I love smoking.. I don't ever really ever expect to think of smoking as a negative. If I could I would go back in time to the 40's and 50's just so I could smoke. But, I quit who know why I sure don't!!
You guys are all doing great!!
KTQ..
Nicodemon

Hi Sparky,
You can still do this Sparky!! Set a new quit date, don't give up on yourself, because we aren't giving up on you. Remember the reasons you wanted to quit. I know the cravings get intense, be ready next time. Figure out what the trigger was that made you cave and come up with a plan for it next time. Attitude predicts behavior and your body's crave for nicoteen can really mess with even the best attitudes. I'm not an expert, but I'm taking it one day at a time, and some days are definately better than others. Dig deep, regroup and do what's best for you!!! Most important of all, do not beat yourself up over this. This is my 5th quit and as far as I'm concerned it's a fresh start. Make a fresh start Sparky, when your ready....

Nicodemon,
I didn't have to visit a pulminary unit in a hospital to view what smoking does to a body.. I sit waiting for news about my dad who is now on a respiratory, clinging to life as his 82 pd body is ravaged by the effects of a life filled with smoking. He may have loved smoking, but my dear friend, the smoking loved killing him more. :(
You have a wonderful quit going.. and I applaud and congratulate you !
Keep strong.. stay quit!

Hey Sparkle -- just wanted you to know what an inspiration you have been for me in the past weeks; when the time is right, I know you'll be back in full force inspiring others as well.

I admire you coming forward, that has got to be one of the hardest things to do.....I think maybe that is why I havn't lit up...I can tell it took alot to get to this point, but just rememeber you have alot support here..no matter what!. If one on one is more preferable you can have my e-mail.... no problem ......Can I post it here? Or is that not a cool thing to do (always a problem with me...I NEVER know what is cool!) you know just catch me on IM after the next few days.

Hey Sparky
We love ya no matter what...Sometimes, I imagine, repeated attempts exhaust a person and it is probably necessary to regroup and remember why we want to quit and to prepare for the quit.
You are always welcome here...take good care of yourself and keep checking in...your time will come oh sparky one!
