Day 25 - AND VERY ANGRY

I still sometimes feel that way, so it must be normal (there is safety in numbers, so don't voluntarily commit yourself just yet to the institution!) Stick with the program and continue your meds....it gets easier as time goes on.... Rhonda, I hear you! I don't think anyone can answer your question, "is this normal?" And maybe that is something for a professional....but I can tell you my experience. As you know, I too have been dealing with feelings of depression, frustration, irritation, etc. Today I am feeling good. Yesterday, I over-indulged in a little chocolate....ok, a lot of chocolate. Not sure if that's the reason for my good mood today, but I have heard that chocolate (and some other foods) contain seratonin (not sure I spelled that right?) which is what makes us happy. I don't want to get into too much detail because I am not a medical professional, but I have read a few articles. So, maybe you need a chocolate fix? The other thing I want to mention, is that it may be the meds. I am doing this cold-turkey this time around. But I can tell you that my last quit attempt was with Zyban and it was not good for me. My moods were out of control, way worst than they are this time. You may want to talk to your doctor if your mood doesn't improve soon. A few other options are exercise (maybe yoga which is a stress-reliever) and treat yourself. We're almost at a month! Time for some rewards! I am going for a full body massage tomorrow and I can't wait! :) Whatever you decide to do, I hope it gets better soon. You have to do something, because whether it's "normal" or not to be angry or upset all the time, it's not pleasant. Be good to yourself and good luck. Keep us posted, and stay away from the nicodemon! Karen.
