Hey crik,
Plus, you don't want to start a forest fire!!! You love nature..let your lungs enjoy the fresh air. Smoking is a choice. When the weekly craving comes; make a conscience choice NOT to smoke. NOPE, not one puff ever! Get it done now or start over again and again and again and again......you get the idea. You can do it.

congratulations on your decision to quit, and now are in your 3rd day.
the first week I found was the hardest, because a lot of things still are routine for lighting up.
after that it became a little easier a little bit at a time.
just take it one minute, one day at a time.
wish you continued success with your quit.

Hi, Crik,

If you maintain your focus, your vigilance on your quit then you'll fight off the cravings with more ease than if you settle back and teel yourself that this whole quitting thing is not so bad. I didn't find the quit so bad myself as I had the Champix and great help from this site. But I need so badly to stay quit that I have been concentrating on staying focused that I have constantly been shoring-up my resolve... I can't go back to smoking or I'll really hasten my death.   You're doing great and you'll stay strong in your quit if you keep the focus on how bad the little tubes of weed are for your body and mind....

Crik,

I have moved your thread to another forum!  We generally leave the introductory forum for those who are introducing themselves

If you know a crave or trigger is coming, then prepare for it and be ready!

We look forward to celebrating one week with you!

Should I post to other forums now that I am on the road to recovery?  Thank you everybody.  Communicating helps so much.  The truth is that its been easyish so far.  What has happened in the past is that after a week or so I get an unbearable craving and cave. Maybe this time I can endure it.
