Misha,
How are you doing today? Post and let us know, okay? You CAN do this and it will get better.
My mouth and JAW got so sore from chewing on something all of the time. I had to keep switching things up a lot. Are you drinking a lot of water? I mean A LOT of water. I always push that but it helps so much with the cravings and flushes those poisons out of your system. If you'll drink a lot of water, not only will it help with the cravings and clean your system but it will also help you to lose some weight. At the beginning of my quit, I drank so much water that I actually lost 10 lbs. Then I got sort of tired of water and stopped drinking it. I FOUND that 10 lbs. plus a few more. Now I'm going right back to the water again and now I'm mainly chewing on toothpicks, straws, and nibbling on broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber slices and things like that. Healthy stuff.
Ever since the first day of my quit, I have chewed on something CONSTANTLY. Now I'm switching off to raw veggies or toothpicks instead of snacks loaded with calories. Oh, and water. LOL
It IS worth it, Misha. Take a look at your meter. Four days is HUGE!! Look at how many cigarettes you have NOT smoked. Now, take a deep breath....I mean really deep and see if you cough at all. Feel how much deeper you can breath in. It is worth it and it WILL get better. Let your body continue to heal. With each and every craving, your body is healing.
Stay Strong and Keep Posting,
Tutti
