oh good it's not just me losing my mind. i forgot 2 important items at work last week, and turned the lights out on my boss while he was meeting with someone. He just looked at me and said, "you're weird"...ugh, lol, could be worse.
Its normal, I am still confused and lost.... I cry and i'm sad, I argue and loos my mind.... I guess its part of quitting.
Just hang in there.... I'm on day - 4 and it gets crazier by the minute...
Keep posting...

kitty-same here :confuse: I nearly had a few car accidents this week just because I was spaced out. I keep dropping everything, forget where I put stuff and go to do something and forget what the hell I was about to do! Last night I slept only three hours :( and the constipation thing is still terrible. :( :( I am exercising, eating fruit and drinking a ton of water and still the problem persists. I am afraid to eat too much now, yuck!!! I dont want to have conversations with too many people because I sound like a blithering idiot, which right now, I am. Too bad I am not enjoying this feeling because the high sure is cheap enough :p Anyone know when all this usually subsides? Denisey

It will pass, you will regain your focus......it's your body cleaning out the crap that went along with the addiction, and getting use to OXYGEN again.
amazing, isn't it?
:)
hang in there!!

Hi All,
Since i've quit i always feel so confused, im always dropping things, forgetting things, i cant really concentrate on anything. Is it due to the not smoking or is it just coincedence and im actually starting to get dimensia at the old age of 32:confuse:

Oh Denisey....that's why they call it hell week. Yep, pure, unadulterated hell. The good news is it doesn't hurt and it does go away.....every day/week gets better. Everytime you say no to a crave, the next one is easier to cope with. One cig will never take the edge off, it will just rekindle the desire to smoke and smoke and smoke.
Hang in there and stay close,
Janet

Katie.... I love it! "that's your brain on oxygen!!!"
Reminds me of the commercial of the egg frying in the pan.
This is your brain

At some time during my first or second week, I was stopped in the hall by one of out customer service people who had a question about a product line. My answer started just fine for a few words, then the order got jumbled and some words that had nothing to do with my answer were thrown in. The more I tried to gain control over my mouth the worse it got. The look on her face was priceless, like I was transforming into something weird right before her eyes. :8o:
Finally I just quit talking, took a deep breath, and told her I had recently quit smoking and this brain-mouth disconnect was a side effect. Found out she'd quit a few years ago and understood completely. I e-mailed her the answer. :)
Also got real clumsy, slow, forgetful, and a bit lost.
It gets better, kitty.
Shevie

No you are not losing your mind at a young age. I was like that too and you will find so many feel/felt the same way too. It will pass in time. Don't worry about it but be happy with your 9 days quit, that is awesome!!!
