Hi JiJi,
I do not know any names of books specifically but I have done quite a bit of research on diet and anxiety. I have heard over and over that B Complex Vitamins are essential for a more relaxed and balanced mind. As for foods... lots of complex carbs ie potatoes... things like oatmeal is great for brain chemistry... cinnamon also levels out blood sugar if you are feel antzy due to sweets...Also make sure you are getting enough protein I use a protein shake that is has 22g of protien per serving and only 210 cal. Its called Pro-Rated 100% Whey Protien, u can buy it at any health food store on on protienusa.com It runs about 24.99 american$$ for a huge container with enough powder to make 76 drinks. You are suppose to be having 1/2 your weight in grams of protein per day but you can get it from alot of other things like milk too. The main recurrent theme is stay away from caffiene and sugar! I do like sweet things sometimes so I opt for stuff with artifical sweetners I know that some ppl have their doubts about how healthy they are but in moderation Im sure they are fine. I am no nutritionist but I am pro health and I I have found good results from these things... I hope this helps you some what
Tara :p
Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone knows of any books about anxiety & diet? I am told that the way you eat also has to do with your anxiety. Any suggestions?
