anyone tried L-theanine

Clairey, Yes, when I do get a full attack, I vomit, have nausea and diarrhea. My first one was after a Meniere's (spinning) attack. I haven't had an attack of either kind in months. Just know ing what was happening to me helps me to control them. (I didn't know what was happening the first few times and I thought I was going to die.) I only get little pangs of anxiety now every so often when I feel the dizziness and start to worry about my ear. I wish my healthcare was free! Some day this country (USA) will get it together and take care of its people. I can't tell if the L-Thianine works or not, but I know you can take a lot if you need to and it won't hurt you.

sorry to hear about your ear problem. What else happens to you when you get an attack? are you physically sick (vomit)thats not nice. I just get worried and try to ignore it and talk myself out of worrying, i dont get really bad! only feel that way if im not at home. Do yo think the L-theanine helps with that a bit? I live in the UK so i get my health stuff for free on the NHS (national health insurence), sometimes hospital appointments take a while but they are generally good in my area. If i get that desperate i will pay privately or get a some insurence scheme.

Yes, that's what my anxiety is from. I had my first attack after a nocturnal vertigo attack - I have an inner ear condition that is not responding to meds and they won't operate because my hearing is intact. I also have headaches, eye pain, head pain and tingling that I am trying to get diagnosed. (It could be TMJ or something else - I am seeing a neurologist and TMJ specialist). After the initial attack, I only had about 6 panic attacks all in a row one week. I was away on vacation and was worrying I would have a vertigo attack again. I also have small kids and a husband that travels, so I worry about being alone and being responsible for them. My attacks make me physically sick (stomach) so I'm down for 1/2 a day. Since I've had treatment, the attacks have stopped pretty much (I've had some tiny ones). I was on Lexapro, but it made me so sick that my doc made me stop. I'm still going thru withdrawl form that, but my stomach is recovering. I'm in the midst of seeing a bunch of doctors this month to get this stuff resolved, but my insurance stinks, so it's all out of pocket, thus more worrying (about money) but I need some answers and, hopefully some treatment that works. Anyway, I do take the L-Thianine and also a valerian-based herbal combo at night for sleep. I'm hoping I can stay off any further meds (SSRI's)through talk-therapy, the natural remedies and actually getting some diagnoses for my health problems. Thanks for your concern! I'm actually feeling much better lately since getting off the Lexapro and, of course, knowing that the anxiety was causing the attacks.

I have been takling it for several weeks now. My natural doc says you can take up to 600mg or more without worrying as it is an amino acid. I'm going through a bit of trouble now, though so I can't say whether they work or not because I still have attacks, but they are less intense. (I took Lexapro for 4 weeks and was really sick on it and am off meds except fot Xanax as needed and I'm dealing with alot of health problems that need resolution that also make me sick/anxious.) I take 6-8 per day of Enzymatic Therapy brand. It can't hurt to try.

I suffer from stress because of a chronic stomach disorder. I dont like going out in public places unless i feel ok, and sometimes when i do go out i worry and want to rush back home, its not that bad but i dont feel 100% comfortable. Has anyone tried the supplement L-theanine? does it do anything? please help
