I agree with Leanna, we care how you are doing! Check in often if you can! Go through the program too, it really helps to do the homework, it helped me with work and everything.
Hi Leanna: Wow, what a day! I'm so happy to hear your colleagues were supportive and you have the opportunity to stay a few hours - or work alone in an office until you feel stronger. That's really great. More wonderful is that you aren't terrified to return. I think maybe the "ice is broken", such as at a party or when we meet some new people and feel nervous until the "ice is broken". Lemon herbal tea helps me with nausea, you might like to try that, or a peppermint. Pls. keep posting - I care how you are doing.
Thank you for sharing your story. It is great to hear that you've "broke down a wall", and you have realized that this will get easier with each day. It must have felt nice knowing that your coworkers understood and respected your needs. Check in to let us know how things go the rest of the week, and if you have any questions.
Well, I was doing fine on the drive to my 1st day back at work, until I began feeling like nauseous. I thought I wasn't going to make it. I ran into the building vomitted and began shaking uncontrollably. I went into my boss's office where he and another colleague helped me to remember to breath and reminded me that I am supported. They gave me other options as my fear was feeling I'd be around people ALL DAY LONG! We came up with another option where I would be by myself in an office working on a project and we could start with a couple hours at a time if that's what I needed. The thought of this calmed me down. The feeling of being nauseous never went away, but I stayed for about 3-4 hours. Although, I didn't stay the entire day I feel that I broke down a wall that was preventing me from going to work. I will go back to work tomorrow and I'm not terrified of it. I feel that I really accomplished something today. It feels awesome!
