I sometimes have bad dreams, not often,  Do you drink much caffeine I try not to have any after 3:00 pm in the afternoon, and I dont snack before bed either, unless i'm starved, i'll have some almonds or something but nothing big.

Used to snack before bed alot , not so much now . Thats interesting . Was anxious before bed , had 'my funny throat thing again' .

Although have told my 17yr old lad off because he was up at 3am playing his console very noisy , nt the console him . And it was then that i awoke  .

Went to supermarket with my 5yr old on my own again today , was not too bad in there but on the way back very anxious for some reason .

Cornish Dee,

By any chance do you snack in the evening or near bed time?  Have tea? Eating just prior to going to bed, raises the body's metabolism and brain activity which can cause an increase in nightmares.

 Other causes include...
  • Anxiety or stress is the most common: In 60 percent of cases, a major life event precedes the onset of nightmares
  • Illness with a fever
  • Death of a loved one (bereavement)
  • Adverse reaction to or side effect of a drug
  • Recent withdrawal from a drug such as sleeping pills
  • Effect of alcohol or excessive alcohol consumption
  • Abrupt alcohol withdrawal
  • Breathing disorder in sleep (sleep apnea)
  • Sleep disorders (narcolepsy, sleep terror disorder)
  • Inherited tendency toward nightmares
If your anxiety seems to be the primary cause, relaxation techniques may be helpful to you.

Does anyone else suffer from bad dreams ? The last two nights mine have returned . I have been pretty prone to them all my life (boy could i write some scary movies with some ) .

Hope you are feeling better. If it's muscular then maybe stretches might work?

Hope you're feeling better, I hate when I get that strangling/choking sensation.  It really exacerbates the situation, doesn't it? :/

HI CD, sorry to hear you have pains and such.  Have you tried a hot water bottle on your side?  I find hot water bottles very soothing.  I use one for all my little aches and pains and it helps a lot. Have a good night, let us know how you are tomorrow.

That was the afternoon , it was pretty grim . Got very shaky early evening but now its close to bed dont feel quite as bad . Kept myself busy as per usual because i find that helps me .

Dont hold much luck with the doctors , i havnt had any answers over the last few months that made a difference . Side pain they said is muscular , but had it for two years and its getting worse . Cant take anti inflams because they set off abdomen pain feel cursed lol . I can handle it most of the time and dont moan but it really is getting me down now .

It will never stop me from doing my daily household chores , i wont let it beat me .

cornish-dee,

How are you doing this afternoon?
I know it can be difficult at times, but try to keep that positive attitude alive. It is a good thing that you are going to see your doctor. Hopefully they will be able to help you with your physical symptoms.
We are here to help and support you in whatever you need.
Keep on working at it, you can get through this,
