Ok so my goals for this week are the same as the week before: So three goals: 1-Spend time with hubby 2-Desensitize fear of exercise 3-Get used to being in my own bed again. Up to now i think last weeks exposure work went well. For goal 1- I managed to do my exposure work 5/7 days. This is the second week I have this goal. I am now on step 4 of my exposure plan. Which is I spend 15 minutes playing cards with him which is a big improvement because all first three steps were just getting used to him being in the same room as me while we didnt interact. So this is an improvement and I am really happy with that. For goal 2- I managed to do my exposure work 6/7 days. This is the second week I have this goal. I am now on step 2 of my exposure plan which is I do 20 minutes of brisk walking (to get my heart pumping) and then 10 mins of slow walking (to get used to being out there a total of 30 mins). When it is not to late and it is safe I try to roam about the neighbourhood for the 10 minutes slow walking to get my safe zone bigger, but I only got to do that twice this week since it was dark most times when I went walking. But I am happy with my progress in this area plus I feel healthier. I also think I lost weight because the new jeans I just bought are starting to slide down a bit when I wear them lol. I love the feeling of having to pull up my pants! :P Also, I have noticed that the days that I do my walking I feel better, less sad and I sleep better. As for goal 3- I managed to do my exposure work 6/7 days. This was my first week trying that goal. I am now at step three of my exposure plan for the one. So now I am able to stay sitting on my bed while doing say my homework for a whole hour. At first it was tough for me to stay there for just 15 minutes. In fact for a while there I had trouble going into the bedroom. But once I started the actual exposure work it went real well from there. So I would say I am really happy with my exposure work for week 5. And as I said for week 6 I will keep the same goals. I find exposure work difficult. I mean while you are doing it, the anxiety isn't great to say the least. But once you succeed at it and realize you are comfortable doing it and ready to go to the next step it really feels great. Ok my goals for week 5 are: The same two as last week (hanging out with hubby and having fun, getting rid of fear of exercise) Plus i want to try and start the exposure to being able to lie in my bed again. So three goals: 1-Spend time with hubby 2-Desensitize fear of exercise 3-Get used to being in my own bed again. Up to now i am very happy with my exposure work. It was tough with the anxiety and all but it went well. And I am starting to find ways to work it all into my daily routine so that it doesn't interfere with the rest of my life :) -Diva

Well, up to now since last thursday my goals have been going well, did my fear of exercise exposure work 4/6 days up to now. But today and yesterday were such cold days (we had a cold snap here) that i could just not make myself go out there long enough to do my exposure work. As for my goals with my husband. I am up to spending one hour at a time in the same room as him at a time now, and it has been going well. Plus, i noticed we manage small discussion more often too which is a bonus! Anyway, so that is how my exposure work is going up to now!

I decided to pick two goals 1- Sepnd quality time with my hubby and have fun with him 2- Exercise more to get over the fear. So for now i will work on this till i have more answers. Wish me luck on my xposure work lol
