Thank you Josie and Toni. I am trying my best to get back and keep control of my life. I have been really busy for the last few days getting prepared for the move and I've had good moments and bad moments. When I get distracted enough I forget about the anxiety and actually function well. But once in awhile it starts to get overwhelming and I have a panic attack. I haven't thought about finding a new job quite yet because I have quite a bit on my plate with the move. That's the next task once I'm moved. Again thanks to both of you for your words of encouragement. I'll keep you posted!

Hi, I'm not good with too many words of wisdom but, having panic disorder, I understand what you are going through. The best thing you can do is not think about the long term, focus on today. Juts get through this next 10 minutes, then deal with the next ten minutes... you will find each ten minutes passes with nothing bad happening. Small steps first, I have to deal with this everyday as I work full time, six days by myself. Some days are much worse than others - especially when I forget to breathe or I start thinking about long term things - long term being the drive home, if I am going to have a panic attack when we go to a friends house for dinner tomorrow night, dropping one of the kids off at a birthday party etc... Don't let your thoughts wander & take control - you cannot change what is happening so just take the next ten minutes & enjoy them, knowing that if you have anxiety - it will pass and you will be stronger for it. Now is the best time to beat it, right now. Deal with later as it comes, not before it arrives. I feel like i'm going through exactly the same thing, so you're not alone, it is a constant battel 24/7 - so i'll think of you also. Toni nb* I live in Australia but I am considering employing a staff member lol ;)

I'm starting to feel like the universe is trying to put me to the test. Part of my anxiety is a fear of change. I like to get into a routine and get comfortable and live life. I understand that this may not be healthy but it's how I cope. Now I feel like my life is turning upside down. I'm moving to a new apartment in 10 days, my mother is moving in with my husband and I (she had a stroke and can't take care of herself so I will be her primary care taker) and now I found out today that my company is relocating. This now means that I have to find a new job. This is throwing me into a tailspin as I've been at this company for over 4 years and have become very comfortable there. Now I feel like I have to start all over. What if I can't do it? What if this causes a catastrophic setback that I can't recover from? What if? What if? What if? That's all I keep thinking. Instead of thinking this could be a fresh new start. A way to meet exciting new people, to challenge myself, I think of all the things that could possibly go wrong. What am I supposed to do? I have to do it. There's no way around it. Any words of wisdom would be so greatly appreciated right now. On another note, if anyone works in the downtown Toronto area and their company is hiring, let me know! lol. Thanks everyone!
