I took librium for many years and Anafranil for half a year.
The Anafranil did not work, I just had side effects (weird and vivid dreams) and I am afraid to try another SSRI now.
I stopped taking the 20 mg of librium about 20 months ago because my psychiatrist said latest research showed benz's might cause panic attacks.
I do not know if this is true but I stopped.
They did not help me much anyway.
Stopping was very easy, I did not have any withdrawal symptoms.
Some months ago I had a period with many attacks.
After two months I started to take some librium again.
Not much and not very often.
About once a week or every ten days.
The idea I can take something when the panic attacks get really bad helps me.
My personal situation is complicated, (my husband is an addict) and no medication can change that.
hi iam on citalopram but iam stopping them cant handle sied effects i was in dioxipin which had less side effects but i feel my panic attacks are always a lot worse before my monthly cycle thats why doc changed them.i was on poroxetine but had a bad time on them i have a low tolerance to the ssri.
Hi outlaw,
I'm on Effexor XR and also take valium when I need to.
I don't think it's working for me but as I seem to be getting worse. But I am going to the doctors tommorrow. So I will see what the doctor has to say.
