If you are anxious, I find it helpful to accept it and not to make a big deal out of it. Keep telling yourself its ok that you're anxious, you know what it is, its no big deal and it will go away. The less you make a big deal out of it the faster it will go away. This is something that I'm learning with Laucida Bassitt tapes (Attacking Anxiety). I just had a house party which makes me very anxious, I kept saying those statements to myself and they worked. I had an enjoyable eveving. Try it, it might work. I think the best thing we can do for ourselves with this condition is to accept it( even if our family doesn't and gives us a hard time) not to fight it, float thru it.
