Thank you so much for atll that help. Yeah, I have seen that zoloft is B and sometimes I see it as C. I have "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and I will defintely get the other book you mentioned. I just got irritated with the doc. I read in a few places that you should avoid antihistamines in the first trimester. I will just get thru it. It is not too bad yet. They get worse with the humidity so hopefully they don't get too bad til my next trimester. I made my appt. with the doc for May 7th and then I can schedule an ultrasound for around 8 weeks. I am nervous about that. My ultrasound with the miscarriage was awful, just a big black still blob. I am being hopeful and praying though. My weaning is going good. I had a rough night last night. I got hot before dinner and it made me feel panicky. Hot flashes are my first sign of panic normally so I have a hard time with getting hot. I was able to eat dinner and watch a movie though. But I had a hard time sleeping. Once I feel asleep, I could stay asleep though. How is your weaning? I bet you are excited to get off the zoloft. Hopefully you are doing well. Have a good day!

Lauren, Most of the sites say sudafed is pretty safe, an alternative they say is "Ocean Mist Nasal Spray" but ask the OBGYN. Also I found a site about pregnancy and meds...http:www.gynob.com/depression.html Please don't worry Lauren everything is going to be fine, I am right along with you weaning off the Zoloft, its not too bad. Let me know how you are doing. Debbie.

Dear Lauren, I looked in my book "When Words Are Not Enough" by Valerie Davis Raskin MD, Zoloft is considered a "Class B" drug not a "C" Paxil is a "C" and the benzodiazpines too, which you do not take so you dont have to worry. The book was written a few years ago but this is an excellant book Lauren if you could go to the Libarary or book store it has alot of information about pregnancy and psych drugs, breastfeeding etc.... I checked twice Zoloft is a "B" according to this woman Doctor, also Buspar is a "B" also. Xanax is a "D" Klonopin a "C" and so on.... I do not know too much about sudafed, I will check the web and write you back, it seems Zoloft is pretty safe and is a "B" like Buspar, I do not blame you for being confused, unless they changed the class, Prozac is a "B" too. I will check on Sudafed for you, I am really not sure. Call the OB, some err on the side of caution I know and some are more liberal. Besides this book by Dr. Valerie Davis Raskin, another is "What to expect what you are expecting" its like a bible, its a very upbeat positive book it helped me alot. Please let me know how you are doing, its normal to worry a little in early pregnancy, you are going to be fine! How is the weaning going, today was my "skip a day" I was more hungry but thats it, I had a pretty good day which I am grateful for. God bless, Debbie.

Well, today I called my obgyn to ask them what meds I could take for allergies. They told me to take sudafed. It turns out that sudafed is in the same drug class as my zoloft that they told me I could not take. That makes me so mad. They went on and on about zoloft being a category C drug and to take it only if I HAD to. Then they turn around and reccomend another category C drug for ALLERGIES??? Jeez, I just don't see the logic.
