Yes I understand, accepting yourself as a non-smoker is key.  Sometimes we think we have to do more than is necessary to arrive at our destination.  Sometimes it is best to just ride the train.

Avoiding and delwaying area few of the key quit strategies so nice work!
 
But I don't like how you say "I can't win".  You can win!  Once you get a little further along in your quit you will be more confident.  You will be saying, " I can beat nicodemon, I am mad as heck and I won't take it anymore!" LOL
 
But if avoiding is working for you though then keep it up! Stay Strong!

BG, thanks for sharing another way to face the addiction.  I know at the beginning of my quit I became a hermit.  I avoided smokers and smoking situations at all cost as I wasn't sure I could win the fight.  But as I grew more confident in my quit, I got back to being the social butterfly I normally am!  Each person's quit is different, keep doing whatever you are doing as you have a great quit going!  Just make sure you have enough energy to board the cruise ship tomorrow!

So I think what's getting me through this quit is letting go--not taking control. I'm really not putting up much of a fight, because I can't win one. Nicodemon is no more than an irritant that needs to be avoided. I just don't have any energy to give to that nut.
