Josie you've got a good discussion going here.
I think attitude is one of the major keys in not only a successful quit, but a happy, fulfilling life.  As you may know, it was an attitude change that made my quit possible and has changed my entire life.  Before I quit smoking this time I had a negative outlook on quitting and my life in general.  With a true desire to quit smoking my attitude went from "I can't quit" to "I want to quit" to "I will quit no matter what".
Two things have really helped me change my attitude:
1.  Desire to change
2.  Several books, websites and even a movie (I know we aren't supposed to mention products here, but you did ask)
  • The EasyWay to Quit Smoking (book or website)
  • The Secret (Movie, book or website)
  • Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway (very old book)
The more I practice being positive, the easier it becomes (though it will always be a work in progress for me).
Heny Ford sums it all up nicely in this quote..."If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right."

Keep up the great quits Kasi, Sassy and DJ.  Your positive attitude will indeed make quitting a much easier experience and you should be so very proud of yourselves!
