Hey Ruby In my experience with dealing with anxiety. I never really concentrate on my physical feelings anymore. Cause I dont really think there is any point, its not really going to make things any better at the time of an attack and they are not really to positive of thoughts. Try thinking more about things that make you happy, like think of something fun to do or think of some memories where you were'nt having any anxiety and you were just relaxed and having fun. When your having an attack and you feel the physical effects just tell yourself okay these feelings are just from my anxiety and the adrenaline running threw me and forget about them or ignore them, because they will pass. I hope this helps a bit. Take care Ruby

Hello everyone, Sorry I haven't been on here the last few days, I've been a bit unwell. The last couple of weeks I haven't been to well, I have had three anxiety attacks in the last couple of weeks. I haven't been going to bed till late, but then I wake up early hours of the morning, my face is real sweaty and then along comes the panic attack, I have tried to put my mind to counting and doing sums while I'am having an attack just so I don't think more of the way I'am feeling, because I find that the more I think about the way I feel when I'am having an anxiety attack it makes it worse. It worked the first one attack, but the last two it didn't work. So I'am having no luck at the moment. Went to see the doctor yesterday and she has refered me to a psychologist she says that they are helpful and will teach you different ways to handle your anxiety attacks when you have them, eg. breathing ect. So hopefully this will help. I think I could handle anxiety attacks better if we didn't get those awful feelings you get when we have an attack. I'am still reading the book I mentioned on here, but have only read a little bit so far, maybe when I finished the book it might give me more understanding of this condition (anxiety) and then it might help also in recovery. But I am going to see the psychologist as well. Well I better go now. Thanks for reading. ;)
