Amanda,
A good rule of thumb is to check with your doctor and pharmacist. They will be able to advise you about doasges and side effects for each medication. Also they will be able to give information of intereaction with other medications.
Hope this helps,
Josie

I want to tell you that Zoloft also gave me bad headaches. It also made me very dizzy. I think if it last past the 10 days, you should ask if you can try Lexapro. Much the same but most (not all) do not have the same side effects as Zoloft.
The one thing I like about Lexapro is it has been proven to pretty much be safe with other medications meaning no adverse effects from taking something else.
I am on day 10 of taking Zoloft for extreme panic and anxiety. Through all of this I have been really dizzy. It seems that during the situations that I would have had panic before starting this medicine my dizziness gets worse. I started at 12.5mg and now am taking 25mg. I take it at night and by the end of the day I have the worst headache. No matter what I do it will not go away. I have also had vision changes. My doctor said I should up the dose again and wait out the side effects. It just seems like after one goes aways another starts. It has come to point where the panic and anxiety I felt before is better than all of this. Now because of these side affects they are making me panic everyday about what else is going to happen. I was very afraid of taking the medication to begin with and now it just furthers my fears by having all of these physical symptoms associated with taking Zoloft. Has anyone else had these side affects? How long should I wait it out? It feels like this will never end and there is no hope for me to ever get though this.
