One year is such a wonderful accomplishment. I am so glad to hear that you know that you will never smoke again. It must be a great feeling, and such a great reward in itself. You are truly an inspiration to all!
I just want to say that today is one whole year for me. I never thought i would reach this point. I know some of you just quitting are thinking the same thing. Let me assure you that everyday is easier and easier. I have not even thought of smoking until I started thinking about the 1 years point. Otherwise it's nothing. Just do it and tell yourself you will never smoke again no matter what. that's it.
I spent the night in a Smokey bar (visiting another town for work and met some old friends) It was strange. Everyone smokes like it was no big deal. you know what? I know the big deal. I know what it's like to wake up and crave a smoke. i know what it;s like to walk 10 feet behind your family so you can smoke. And I know what it's like to have Dr's tell you really should quit. I know what it's like to feel embaressed when you take a break at work...I know it all.
I have been there... and there is no better feeling than saying after one year...I know I will never smoke again.
Thank you all and God bless all of you starting this fun adventure of being a non smoker. it is easier than you think...
