I agree, Yes, Yes, and Yes. I was feeling spacey for weeks after quitting. They say that's possibly withdrawals from the carbon monoxide>or dioxide, I don't remember now, but it's a doozy! Try to plan out your day as much as you can ahead of time, and take many little breaks to give your brain a rest. It's learning how to do this living thing on its own, without any stimulating chemicals burning away in there. Try to cut that brain (and it's owner) some slack, OK? Yep, yep, and yep. happened to most of us. Been on this site for almost a year, is kinda funny how things repeat :-) You will feel worse before you feel better cause nicotine masks problems. Some quitting symptoms include: O2 levels coming back = dizziness Chest pains = healing the damage Hunger = substituting the high Anger = from resisting cravings (and dealing with stupid people) These dates are for cold quit, no slips and no NRTs; You will also experience severe cravings on day 28-31, (mark your calendar) so you can laugh and say, "Huh! John in NC said this would happen!". Cravings don't stand a chance when you predict them. It can be rather funny at times. Then you go through these ups and downs and some anger. Now, the good news, for me it was at 160 days there were more cravings or moodswings. I felt pretty darn good all the time. Oh and congrats on the quit Judy you're doing great! Hey Judy, I had problems with heartburn/acid reflux problems before I quit. When I started on Chantix, that seemed to enhance the problems that I was having! Had to take a Pepcid AC before bed and then kept a roll of Rolaids right beside me! After I got off the Chantix, the acid belly problems that I had been having for quite some time have almost disappeared! I probably should have quit smoking sooner!!! :) If you quit using Chantix, maybe it could be a cause of your problems! Good call getting an appointment!!! Judy, it's always better to be safe than sorry. Probably is just the toxins coming out of your body but a trip to the doctor won't hurt and will most likely put your mind at ease. Judy, I don't think I've experienced that, but I have heard others talk about how their chest seemed real tight. I had the spacey a little bit. You are probably alright, but If the doc visit will make you feel better then by all means. Well, here I am on my 22nd day of my quit. Has anyone had what feels like constant heartburn since thier quit? Maybe I am being paranoid but I made an appointment with a cardiologist just to make sure that there is no damage done to my heart. I just don't feel right and I know that I smoked for 20 years and there are alot of toxins in my system but i was just hoping that i would at least start to feel better instead of feeling worse. I absolutely don't like this dizzy feeling and spaced out feeling. i don't know, maybe i am just worrying for nothing and this is my body's way of detoxing.
