Yes Sylvie I have done my spring cleaning and my summer cleaning..lol! And yes, I've been drinking lots of water and other things like concentrated fruit juices and green tea. You know I choose life... it is the sitting after dinner till I go to bed which is leaving me feeling antsy as all get out :( I've been doing some crocheting and it's helping a bit but I feel like my skin is crawling. I'm not eating sweets, seem to be more into things like spicy rice cake snacks and on the odd occasion some cookies. I can't do the gym thing due to my disability but I'm taking up a little walk right after dinner. I really think I need to find something else to go along with the crocheting though. I'm feeling a little at odds this morning. It's like there's a huge problem looming over me right now yet I can't figure out what it is?! Hi Peace, I had the exact same problem! That time is when I used to smoke the most, just relaxing and watching tv. I tried sitting in a different spot and I started tackling the growing pile of ironing! Now the basket is almost always empty, crocheting or knitting are good ideas. Try to avoid munching on sweets! I've to start heading to the gym to get away from that one! Peace, It's very important to keep yourself busy and distracted. This may be a good time to finish a project that you've been puttind off. How about some spring cleaning? Keep drinking plenty of water! Sylvie, Bilingual Health Educator

Thanks Meg ! I do crochet and haven't done it in years.. going out to get some yarn and 'build' me a freakin' house ! LOL ! GREAT IDEA :) JUJU, yes I do some writing and drawing during the day and all I want is to rest without thinking or physically doing so I think crocheting may be the best bet.. will give a try ! Thanks you guys .. great idea too about the after dinner walk ;) Peace :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 400 Amount Saved: $180.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 7 Mins: 44 Seconds: 7

Peace I see by your hobby list you like to write, draw etc. That may be your answer, while relaxing try some of those things to keep you busy. I also see you smoked about as many cigarettes a day as I did..for us I think it is a "hand to mouth" habit as well, so I made a prop, a fake cigarette that I hold between my fingers when I watch TV or as now LOL, on the computer. Best of luck in your quit! :) Judi My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/9/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,025 Amount Saved: $405.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 6 Mins: 4 Seconds: 27

Hi Peace, Do you knit or crochet? I've been crocheting an afghan to keep the hands busy. Or maybe a leisurely walk after dinner. I myself have more trouble in the mornings than at night. But even that is getting easier to deal with. Good luck with whatever you try. Our quit dates are only a couple days apart so hang in there. We can do this. I'm finding it to be a tremendous struggle right after dinner and then right through the evening before I go to bed. All day long, from the time I get up until after dinner I'm busy with things. Keeping myself busy with either housework, errands and the such or with my hobbies fill the void of not smoking but then comes the lull. I can't possibly be busy ALL day long as it's quit exhausting. I'm not particularly on the verge of slipping or anything like that, but the struggle is 100x's worse than any other time of day. Any suggestions which doesn't involve physical activity just for the sake of keeping my hands especially busy? Thanks for listening :) Peace :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 400 Amount Saved: $180.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 7 Mins: 31 Seconds: 45
