Instead of looking at my anniversary tonight with anxiety about not being able to smoke and thinking about craving and triggers. I'm looking at it as a "first". It is my first wedding anniversary as a non smoker. YEAH!!!! I am looking forward to every "first" as I travel this journey. It is like driving thru the countryside. There are curves and straightways, there are hills and valleys, and there are times when you are breathless because of the beauty, and then there are places that don't take your breath away and may even make you frown. But you still take the journey, because every good thing gets you thru the bad.... Hey Kristilu! Glad to see you are on your way to a great quit! When it comes to Hubby there are several people on here who are quit a long while and still have a significant other smoking at home. It's tough. But there has to be some give and take, as always. You'll probably get a better response with honey rather than the skillet, but keep in mind, you are setting a wonderful example for him to follow and as smokers go, sooner or later they all want to quit and I am sure he will join you! In the mean time, Congratulations on your Anniversary, and I am sure he will want you to be around for more of them! Celebrate, but keep NOPE in your back pocket in case you need it! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 380 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,500 Amount Saved: $4,009.00 Life Gained: Days: 49 Hrs: 23 Mins: 6 Seconds: 13

Tell him how important this is to you, and how important it should be to him also. Explain that you are not willing to risk this. Starting over takes too much energy and pain, and you don't deserve that again. You deserve this quit to be your last - you have truly given it your all. Stay strong, speak your mind and you will feel better for it. Do what you have to do to protect your quit, Kristilu. Husband will understand that he must take his smoke outside the house in future. protect that quit Kristilu, you might have to be a bit selfish, but it is worth it, you are worth this quit. Happy Anniversary and congrats on those 9 days! Well, I'm half way thru heck week. It hasn't been too bad. I have been working 10 hour days and haven't had time to get on much during working hours. Then the kids are on spring break and when I get home I'm busy with the daily stuff. I feel so much better about this quit. I actually believe it is my last quit. I am just taking one minute at a time right now. I have been a bear at home, but they'll love me more when I get this done. And I'm loving myself more and more every day! I am a little nervous about Friday though, it is my 10 yr anniversary and my husband is still smoking. I may have to lay down some laws or we may be spending Friday night separated!!!!
