Hi Elaine, you said you woke up this way.. Do you have a certain "trigger"... can you try getting out of the other side of the bed.. or change what you do first thing? I thought sitting in my recliner, watching news, checking email with my cup of coffe would set me on edge... but it doesn't. My Big trigger is when I get tired. (it is NOT always possible to take a nap..lol) so I am popping a mint. or if I can eat a piece of cheese.. or protein.. it does go away very quickly though.... Glad you called the quit line.. and came here. Two months. 8 weeks Yaaaa Whooooo My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/10/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 323 Amount Saved: $50.87 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 20 Seconds: 36

The counting of the weeks can get complicated! Doesn't matter though. You're going in the right direction. Well done. Do some slow, deep breathing and consciously release tense muscle groups in your body with your eyes closed and be aware of the relief when you unclench them... Hi, Elaine, You sound a little squirrely there. But you don't have to worry. You have your quit in hand. Hold on to the railings for a while longer as you wean off the nicotine replacement and do your utmost to relax yourself when the cravings hit you... I say that when you're at home the best place for you when you are having a moment of stress is the bathtub with the warm face cloth over the eyes. I keep saying this to people because I just know that's what I would love to do when I get tensed up. Can't tho' because of bad joints but I do fill the tub and sit on the side of it with my ankles submerged and my knees getting the hot towel treatment!! I also spent yards of good money on a masterpiece of a recliner and that takes me to LaLaland in an instant when I get squirrely... patrick My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/18/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,025 Amount Saved: $461.25 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 18 Mins: 28 Seconds: 46

i'm typing this on the 29th in the a.m. so it really is my 8week anniversary here in greenwich meantime. is 8m weeks two months since its two lunar months or do we count 60 days as tow months or go by the calender 4th january my quitdate, 4th march my 2 months??? which way does it work? i realize i may have scared people by getting so traumatised coming off nrt, i apologize i just became convinced nrt was dragging out my withdrawal so i quit it suddenly and did not reduce over a period of 4 weeks. i expect the nrt quit is much less of an event (though not usually totally painless it ~CAN be) if you follow the manufacturers instructions.anyway i'm free of all nic now but i still really need the support here. i get surprise attacks of convincing craves and i need to be able to talk myself down off the ledge here on the site elaine My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,100 Amount Saved: 409.75 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 6 Mins: 40 Seconds: 47
