Just had a interesting theory and thought I'd see what you's think! Is it possible for you to trick yourself into thinking you're craving something else (a brisk walk, coffee, exercise, chocolate, sex!) I've been having strong cravings today and somewhere in the middle of them, I wanted a hot chocolate. I only ever drink hot choc before bed, so this had to be denied for a few hours but the self talk in my head was similar to self talk for cigs! Everytime I got a craving, I'd think of hot chocolate and the thought of cigs seemed to go away.
Do you reckon that if every time you had a craving, you focused on something else, that you could trick your mind into thinking that you wanted the other thing? Just a thought! Not sure if it would work though!
