shan70, I agree with dee, as this has been my experience. But, I also think it depends on what mg the increase is. Some Doc's (and patients) feel you shouldn't feel a difference, so therefore the dosage is raised so slowly, the patient doesn't notice. By the time the desired dose is reached, the patient's feel the benefit without the transition. This is helpful for Panic patients. Hope this answers your question, Della from SC

i dont think it does. Originally it does bc the meds need to get into your blood stream, but once they are already there, you're just increasing them. I usually feel the effects within a day or 2 of increasing.

Since it takes 3-4 weeks for you to get the full effect of an antidepressant medication does it take another 3-4 weeks to feel the full effects when you increase the dosage?
