hi again,
i have come to the decision that i would like to see someone to help with my anxiety. as i've posted previously, i am an english person in america. i feel very isolated - i haven't made many friends. i think it will get better once i start learning to drive - i will be able to get out and about more.
however, i think in the meantime, i need some help and i need someone i can talk to, without feeling like i am burdoning my family. i'd also like to take a stab at cognative therapy.
anyway, i need some advice. i don't know how the system works here regarding referrals, etc. i am insured and have fairly good medical insurance. how do i go about getting a therapist through the insurance? do i need to see my regular doctor first?
if someone could let me know, that'd be great.
oh, also, where would i find a good therapist? i'd like someone who specialises in anxiety.
