Boxing Day here now. More than managed through Christmas Day without a cigarette or the need of one. The drink was a harder pull though. So just ate and ate chocolate. Well March Mellows, a lot of us continue to win the battle of addiction. I really don't think of smoking anymore, I just stopped in to say Merry Xmas to those who helped me in the early days. I especially want to thank LampLighter and Lainey, whose ability to put in words that smoking would not make things any better--the situation would be the same, only now you smoke again. I'm free...and for those of you who are wondering when and "if" it ever gets easy, it does...I promise. Just remember, I would trade a lifetime of wanting a smoke occasionally to constantly feeling the disappointment and guilt of wishing I didn't smoke. My family is so proud of me, but more important, I am proud of me... Well... I got my first smoke-free Christmas... and I just realized... if my math is correct, I'll hit 300 days on New Years Eve! That'll be pretty sweet! :) It's been quite a trip with all you March Mellows, and it does my heart good to see all the success we've had as a group! I'm proud of all of us. We've done very well!
