Sparky I kinda had a hunch that quitting drinking would be easier then this. But yet so many can't do it. They end of dying from the diease. weird uh. But anyway thank's for your post. I just can't remember when i quit before it being this hard. But i am hanging in there. Thank's Mary My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 92 Amount Saved: $13.80 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 33 Seconds: 59

Okay Mary, you said in your other post that you made it through alcoholism, so did I. Quitting smoking is hard to do. Quitting drinking was a piece of cake compared to this, but it can be done. So you ask about smoking just one, well it works the same way with drinking, one is to many and a hundred is not enough. Maybe you think you can get by with one, but what happens is you do for a time and then you think well I had one a couple weeks ago and I am doing fine then you smoke another. Then your mind tells you it is okay to have one now and then and pretty soon the monster has you and are screaming "I NEED ONE AND I NEED IT NOW!!!" Now you are on your way to smoking again, with another quit in site and resetting the meter. Mary, take a look at the tools to the left, work them. Read the posts, write out your reasons, get really honest with yourself. You have the answer and you know what you want to do. Believe in yourself. You will quit when you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. This quit is for you and only you. Never give up, it will happen when you least expect it. Thank you Ladies. My Husband smokes. But not around me. Not in the house. I know if i ask him for one he give me one. Not that he's not supportive. But that i would end up fighting with him. I do know that if i want to quit i have to make up my mind to just do it. Mary, I'm not sure about the degree of withdrawal you would go through, but I do know that smoking even one little bit will reawaken your addiction. You will not be satisfied with one. You will begin to crave again almost immediately. Why do you ask? :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 268 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,720 Amount Saved: $1,822.40 Life Gained: Days: 37 Hrs: 10 Mins: 32 Seconds: 40
