Do your symptoms change??

Amy, Hi. Just wanted to let you know that you can definately stop worrying. I have had panic and anxiety for over 13 years and my symptoms are constantly changing. Actually, I dont really think they "change," I think we focus on different ones at different times. I have experienced everything you mentioned. In fact I could have written the same post lol. As far as the heartburn, I have it almost constantly. My doctor has diagnosed me with acid reflux disease and she said that it's quite common in patients who have panic or anxiety disorders. For me it can be very scary at times because it can trick me into thinking that I am having a heart attack. Man I hate it! I have to remind myself often of what is really making me feel that way. Talk to your doctor about it if you haven't already. There are lots of good medicines that will really help. You can even get good ones over the counter now such as Tagamet, Zantac, etc. Good luck to you and be strong. Things will get better. Sammi

Your not crazy, just anxious and for whatever reason we search unwillingly for new things to worry about. After the 7 EKG's, stop worrying about your heart (I know that can be easier said then done.) I used to get bad heartburn, but started making sure I didn't eat anything for at least 3 hours before bed and it got much better. Additionally, alot of the information out there says excecise, weight, and caffeine can impact anxiety. I started walking every night for the last month and a half, lost 30 pounds in the process (have been dieting as well), and gave up the 6 sodas a day for spring water. In my case, I realized I had to help myself as well as try a med. If any of these apply to you, give them a shot.

I was just wondering if anyone elses symptoms seem to change. For awhile I will be focused on my heart and how it races and skips beats then I will worry about the chest pain then the headaches then the indegestion. Speaking of heartburn does anyone else have this problem with their anxiety?? And a burning sensation sometimes when you breathe?? I start to worry that with the 5 doctors and 7 ER visits I have had they may have missed something. Boy do I sound crazy. Any
