Hello BamaKathy, sorry to hear that you are currently suffering.I'm no doctor, but have had anxiety disorder for a number of years, and wonder if you have seen your doctor and if so, has he/she given you a diagnosis/medication? From personal experience you sound as if you are experiencing avoidance behaviours which are common amongst depression which sometimes makes it hard to even get out of bed and face the day.You can have agoraphobia without panic attacks, but it is usually a panic attack that can start agoraphobia,do you feel afraid of going out, or do you just not want to?I think if you feel fear about going out it could be agoraphobia,if you just can't face going out it could be depression.Either way as i've said i'm no doctor, but I would recommend seeing one, as avoidance behaviours can become habit forming( like retreating to the comfort of home).I hope this has helped in some way ,there are alot of very helpful and empathetic people on this site, so don't feel you have to struggle alone.Keep me posted with how your getting on, believe me, myself and nearly everyone on this site know what your'e going through. Good luck....Neil.
