Well, I'm 7 days smoke free.....how I survived!!
1) I'm on Chantix, and that seems to help the mood, although this is not a "mood free experience"
2) thought about smokes about 1,000 times, smoked 0 times
3) Took naps and played computer games when hand's needed to be busy, bleached down all counter tops in the kitchen and completed all laundry
4) Admitted to my family and myself that I was cranky and tried not to beat them up to bad
5) Read posts on this web site to remind myself that I am not alone
6) Drank hot tea after dinner (oh, how I miss the after dinner cig)
7) Purchased a reward for making it 7 days, a body scrub!!!
8) Got used to new morning and evening routines to try and not think about smoking "as much".
One day, one hour at a time if need be. Today, I'm a smoker who has stayed smoke free for 7 full days, and working my way through day 8.
Stay tough!!
