yes, i totally agree that it sucks that we used cigs to deal with stress and now we have to learn new ways to do it, and it feels really crappy at times not to have those cigs to dull the pain.
BUT......you chose to stop smoking for some reasons. I don't know you, so I don't know what they were, but they must have been some pretty good ones for you to go 9 months without a cigarette. Do you think possibly that you are going through a milestone crave and need to reward yourself really well at this point? That is supposed to raise the "feel good" neurotransmitters...worth a try, yeah?
No matter what...I am so glad you posted your dilemma.....it really doesn't make sense to smoke at this point...all it will bring you is more health problems and a sinking feeling for having thrown away those nine beautiful months.
It might be helpful to continue therapy, find a new therapist, find and DO some pleasurable activites, write a Grateful journal for all the good things in your life, and/or spend that $1500 on something really wonderful.
I'll be watching for you...please let us know how you're doing, ok?
