thanks EVERYONE alohakeia were able to get together on IM and I am going to reward myself for not smoking with a great hot lavender bath and go to bed.. too many trigers today.. my sisters pool & joining my husband on the deck tonight was just a lttle to close to home for me.. Somehow I will grow from this experience.. Doodles, there is a post about bashing your husband with a skillet, that might be helpful to you! You are 9 days a non-smoker, my friend, Your husband is what he is but YOU are a non-smoker and all you have to do to stay that way is not smoke! Get out your reasons for quitting, doodles. Write in your journal about how his smoking makes you feel & how much you really don't want to feel that way. Then write down how you DO want to feel. I bet you want to feel proud of your quit, confident that you can do it, happy that after 9 days you have already given yourself the gift of a sense of smell, improved sense of taste, greater lung capacity and more restful sleep. Others have said it, it's your quit. It is harder with someone else around who is not quit but we don't only do easy things, doodles, & you can do this hard thing. You have been doing it for 9 days. All you have to do is keep doing what you're doing. Or, get a really heavy skillet... doodles do u have im? I'm on there if u can get there. Triggers...what has happened differently? Your husband smoking, yes. But, it is YOUR quit, so it doesnt matter if he smokes or not. I hope you are looking at this quit as something you want to do, as a gift you are giving yourself. You are not missing anything good. As you said earlier, you felt sorry for him. I have done this quit with my son smoking in the house. Doesn't bother me a bit, other than it makes me cough. It is not his quit, it is mine. Other triggers? Sundays? Use your coping strategies....water, distractions, pamper yourself...take a nice long shower or bath. Watch a movie, go to sleep. Just don't smoke. Period. Please do not throw away these beautiful 9, almost 10, days -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 165 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,600 Amount Saved: $1,122.00 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 2 Mins: 34 Seconds: 57
