Yippee Carlos. I've got good feelings about this one. The first days are the hardest. Read loads, especially about the deep breathing techniques. They can work really well! Especially before you take on the world :) How did writing that letter go? Keep pushing forward Carlos! Yes, it will go away and you can keep yourself occupied! Go for a walk, take a shower and use breathing techniques to calm you and to help release that extra stress. We do know what you are going through and can help, so continue posting for support :) Josie, Support Specialist

Carlos, we all know what you are going through, just take this time to refocus, You know try to just calm down and get through these bad times, its not worth giving up the hours you are smoke free, When i quit thats when i found out i had a temper, that needs to stay in control. so try to get glad that you are quitting, enjoy the good hours and power through the bad ones, smile and be glad we are here to help you through, your not on this rollercoaster alone :):) Tresa My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/8/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1854 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 37,080 Amount Saved: $6,489.00 Life Gained: Days: 261 Hrs: 10 Mins: 0 Seconds: 10

Carlos, I had also been quit twice. both for 3 monthes. As far as I recall this time is the easiest. I think this is because I have better mentally prepared, and I continue to read other's experience through this site. I tell myself LOUDLY, SMOKING IS NOT AN OPTION!!! I keep my awarenes that I am in the process of the battle, and I have to win the battle.. minute by minute, day by day.... Yes Carlos, You know it will be better tomorrow. Do the deep breathing exercises. Tell yourself "Smoking is not an option, so I have to do something else!" What else can you do, go for a walk, drink ice water, focus on a distraction of any kind. You can do this...You want to quit so get mad at the cigarettes, they are what are making you feel this way...you can get thru it! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 184 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,600 Amount Saved: $1,941.20 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 11 Mins: 50 Seconds: 16

This is my third serious quit. The first one lasted almost 5 months, the second three months and lots less than 24 hours. I am not strange to hell an heck week, but I feel rage and want to fight the world alone, cannot sleep and want to throw away my first 48 smokeless hours. I know by experience that this feeling will go away in a matter of hours so I am just pouring my heart out. It feels great that quitters like me have gone thru the same ups and downs like me.
