you are doing great Carlos. It is good that you came here and posted instead of throwing away those precious 48 hours smoke free. Close your eyes, breath deep, let the craves wash over you and disappear. Read and post. Stay away from smokers for now..take your beautiful children to the movies, the library, the park. The way you are feeling should be a sign to all of us how addictive cigs are..your body is recovering from the poison smoke. You can do this..you have stayed smoke free for 5 months! That is a great past experience. Every past quit has gotten you to this place in your life. You can do it. Let us know how you are doing.

Hi Carlos!
Hope you are feeling better. It's a great feeling to know what you've accomplished. I know I was elated the first...oh yeah, still elated to see that I am actually quitting. However, the first few days were extremely tough at times. I had resolved not to smoke as you have but it was painful at times and constantly on my mind. What I ended up having to do was take myself somewhere that I couldn't smoke even if I wanted to. I went on a lot of walks. I spent at least a couple hours at the gym each day. I went to the movie theater. I don't remember what else but I was constantly on the move. When I wasn't able to move, I was on this site.
You are doing awesome! Just breathe :)

Carlos, just keep quitting and they will stop - as long as you don't smoke the craves will stop. I remember the rage in my husband, we quit together, ride it out - perhaps exercise? and it will get better in time.
It is so worth it Carlos.
Keep quitting okay? Keep talking to us, keep reading here - it helps.
