Hey bold
Glad to see that you are hanging on and hanging in...You are so young and have made such a good decision, that I would sure hate to see you turn around now...Stay well my friend...There are alot of people here who want you to succeed...

Glad you're doing better bold...
Earlier, you asked about things that might help. I used Chantix as prescribed by my doctor and it helps me, but not even magic will work if a person don't truely want to quit. Hope you can do it cold turkey from the start, but if not, that's my suggestion. Whatever works best for you. I find that just learning all I can about the addiction and posting and reading here often has been my greatest tool for success and in working hard on myself to get through this right.

Hang in there bold, these craves will come in waves and usually last a few days. Do everything you can do to rid yourself of stress and take your mind off of it. Believe me I have been struggling myself, but with the help of all these wonderful people, they have helped me through my craves. I too quit cold turkey, I feel its the best way, but I suppose anyway anyone can quit is good, as long as the end result is the same, staying quit. Remember why you quit? Think about it.

I'm still curious..originally your stats looked like you smoked 2-3 cigs a day and I asked you and you said yes, that was about right...now your stats look like you smoked 15 a day. What happened there?

Bold, take a gander at Greger's thread - why do we go back? (to smoking), the posts in there just reinforce what I, all of us, have said here, it won't help.
You will get past this, it will get better, the craves will stop - if you don't smoke. N.O.P.E.
Makre you take care of yourself, as Sparky say's - don't get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired.

Hey guys i'm not doing to good here today everything is pissing me off and i've just been not myself for the past few days really just a lot of anxiety of not being able to smoke etc I guess. I think that maybe trying to quit cold turkey wasnt such a smart idea because i'm not sure if i'm going to be able to survive this I cant feel like this emotional train wreck every day..... I thought the cravings wouldve been gone by now if I went cold turkey but infact their getting worse and its driving me crazy beyond relief. I really really really want to make this last and I will give it my best shot because I worked so hard to get here, and it would not be good at all if I caved in and had to start over. But what now it just seems impossible going cold turkey even though i've made it this far does anyone know of any good non nicotine type product out on that market that helps with craves
