NO ENERGY!

for 20 år siden 0 5 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
hi there :) boy, i sure do know how you feel. i wont give any advice that should be worked out by a doctor but i will share how i have dealt with extreme tiredness. my doctor worked me up for some common culprits, thyroid, blood iron, and other labs. certainly meds can and do cause tiredness, often too, it can go away after a few weeks. to try to stay somewhat on top of the game, i have to eat well, for me that means healthy snacks and more but smaller meals througout the day... also hydration...more fluids in your body means higher blood volume, means you feel better... and the absolute must is exercise for me. this is so hard because how do you get out and run (or hike, walk, whatever) when you dont feel up to anything?? for me the only answer is, you just do, like you just do take your meds. if i miss a day, i feel pretty bad. i feel pretty bad before and while i drag myself out for my runs, in fact i fret all day because i dont think i can do it, but once i do...phew...feel so much better.... --sorry if kind of ramble-ly-- good luck to you!!! elaine

Hey Chanda! I'm taking Celexa and one half of a .025 of clonazepam. The vitamins I'm taking are GNC Ultra Mega for women. They are very similar to prenatal vitamins. I laughed when I read your comment about the maid and the housework cuz I honestly thought I'd have to do the same thing!! I've been taking my kids out for bike rides 2 times a day and I'm feeling more energetic. Yes you heard me right I've been taking my kids out by myself!! YAY! Hope you are well and remember that the vitamins take a while to get into your system. Keep in touch!!

I take Prozac, but I take a multi-vitamin every day. No trouble so far. I also take an Omega-3 fatty acid. I've read that it actually increases the effectivness of anxiety medicines. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's good for your heart, too. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Once you get back to a regular schedule, you'll feel much better. I'm a Night Owl, sleep 'till noon person, too. Good Luck! Katie

Hi everybody, I hope everyone is great! I talked to a pharmacist today & asked about a vitamin for this "no energy" thing I'm having & she told me to take a prenatel vitamen daily. She said that is the best multi vitamin for women, pregnant or not. When she told me that I remembered a dr telling me the same thing years back. Anyway I'm sure you all know by now that I'm a little leary about mixing & taking meds at first. So do any of you take multi vitamins along with Zoloft? I'm 99% sure that there wont be any problems & the pharmacist said that it would be fine but I just thought I'd ask. I hope this works because I don't have the $$ to hire a housekeeper & I'm getting soooooo LAZY! Thanks! Chanda

Thanks Rhonnie it was good to hear from you. The house hunting went well (but she didn't pick the house that I liked, she chose the one SHE wanted, *the nerve of her*..oh well.haha) I have descided that most of my anxiety is purely anticipatory. I was so anxious about going because I'm not formiliar with that area, we had to drive thru downtown Dallas which is HORRIBLE, & it was about an hour & 1/2 away. I started to take a Xanax before we left "just in case" but descided that I'd try it without it. Turns out I never even got anxious at all. I never even felt close to needing a Xanax, so I had a pretty good day. The last few outings that I've been anxious about were all about the anticipation & once I got there I was fine. Last weekend we were invited to a birthday party at a nightclub. I was sooo nervous but when I got there & made it thru the door I was fine. So I guess I gotta work on that huh?? Anyway I hope you are doing good & hope to chat soon! Chanda

Hi Chanda long time no chat! I have blah days very frequently and I honestly believe it's the anxiety. Apparantley sluggish is slow and lazy and lethargic is unnatural drowsiness or want of energy or interest. Good luck with the house hunting keep in touch!!

Thanks Trish, I'm definately going to try the Chamomille tea & the other things. I am so totally off schedule right now. Since my kids have been out of school for the summer it seems like I'm up until 2 or 3am & then sleep until 11:00 the next day (I get up in time for my soap...I know..I know..it's pathetic..haha)Sometimes I'll even sleep until noon & the bad part is my kids are sleeping that late as well. We've got to get back on some kind of schedule ASAP!! School will be starting back soon. Anyway my husband believes my lack of energy is completely because of my schedule (or lack of) lately. I'm not eating my first meal until noon or one so I know that isn't good. I've just always been a night owl.... never a morning person. Well, I guess the point of this novel is to ask Do you agree with my husband & think this is my problem & not the Zoloft or anxiety at all? I have been on Zoloft for awhile so I guess I would have noticed this before if it was causing it..huh? One more thing & this is probably a stupid question: Does lethargic basically mean the same thing as sluggish? If not what exactly does it mean. Thanks again & hope to hear from you soon! Chanda

Common side effects of Zoloft OR Anxiety, so it's are to tell here, is fatigue, more lethargic, insomnia. To see if it is your medication, have you recently started it within the last month, or had an increase in your dosage? If so, I would see the Zoloft being a side effect, they do diminish but not for a good 3-4 weeks. If you have been on Zoloft with no increases for quite awhile, then I would chalk it up to more anxiety with the anticipated company, or everyday life in general. Hope you feel better, relaxing hot bath about 1 hr bed before helps, then put on a very soothing CD to listen too. Drink some chamoille tea-that really has helped me on the nights I have trouble going to sleep.

Hi everybody I hope you are all doing great. I haven't posted in a few days but I doing good. I have been feeling so "blah" lately. I have no energy at all & could sleep all day. I'm not depressed & my anxiety hasn't been bad but I have NO ENERGY. Does anyone thing this could be a side effect of Zoloft? Also I have out of state in laws coming in tomorrow & we have to take them all around looking for houses & I'm getting a little anxious. As I said I've been doing pretty good but I feel a little anxious about a few different upcoming events. I guess thats normal. Thanks, Chanda
