Airmathea,
When I had my FIRST panic attack at the age of 17, I got the feeling that I was about to faint. I checked my pulse (in my neck) and noticed that it was beating fast, but VERY weakly. My pulse seemed very faint. I know now that this feeling is from the constriction of blood vessels/ arteries in your neck. This occurs without you even knowing it and is a normal part of a panic attack. For some people, this particuliar symptom may be more prominent, for some...non-existent. It seems that this particuliar symptom is a prominent part of your panicking. If you need a friend to talk to...someone who knows exactly what you're going through... send me an instant message. I would be glad to speak with you :) My name is Amanda, and I'm a 22 year old in Atlanta. Here's my AOL messenger name: angelkittenatl
Talk to you soon.
