Mercy,
You are so right on this one. I will go for a while on a nice smooth ride and then all of a sudden it hits. Mine also last a few days never over in one day or a few hours. Mine started again yesterday so I know by Sunday they should calm down.
Good job on this Mercy I thought maybe I was losing it. :)

You might be correct about the theory of the triad...Three has always carried a sacred nature and seems to be deeply rooted in the human mind...Examples range from the most highly sacred as in the mystery of the holy trinity through the mundane as in "three stikes and your out"...It is a symbol of justice as well...In all deputes there are at least two aggrieved parties and one judge...an arrangement through which justice is meant to prevail...
Three is an interesting numerical concept in terms of the human experience...It would not surprise me to find it lurking around here as well...

Mercy,
Thanks so much for the insight! Good for you for using your journal and be able to pinpoint areas! Every quit is different and yours is unique. You know it will last 3 days, so now you can prepare for it!
Thanks,
Josie, Support Specialist
Just a mild word of warning...don't set yourself up to anticipate troubles at any given time. Because when you plan to hit a rough spot, you most likely will. IMHO.

It's not just you Mercy! That seems to be a phemonenum of life.
Lots of things come in threes. People have accidents in three, or bad luck in threes, and on and on, so it's out there....somewhere..... :)

Hi all,
I have been doing a little logging lately. Ya know what? ...
All through the quit I found the "hard" times came in increments of three days.
Even the 100 day hard time I had lasted 3 days. Don't they say the first 3 days are the hardest?
Even last week when I had that hard spell outta nowhere..it again lasted three days.
Soooooo.... if my observation is correct and you happen to be someone having a hard time and reading this....hang on and I bet by day three the cycle reverses to being elated you quit.
Has anyone noticed this? My bouts of threes...get further and further apart. but when I do go into those slumps..I find they last 3 days.
Mercy
