morning everyone,
Well, Mission accomplished!!! I did not take one puff. I sat on my breaks and read a good book. I did have a conversation with one of my co-workers that was kind of disappointing. She was walking by me in the break room and comes up and whispers in my ear "I started smoking again after 3 years". I asked her what happened. She is caring for her invalid father; now she is supporting her 20 something son with his wife and one child; She said "I got drunk one day and had a cig and just kept on smoking" Gosh, I feel so bad for her; THREE YEARS! I just feel bad because i know that she is going to quit again and will have to go through the early stages of withdrawal hell AGAIN! And I feel confused in that, Why, after 3 years, does someone's mind still turn to smoking??? What a sneaky addiction. Well, I work today. And you are right, Mercy, it does pass the time. And YES, I did have a big desire to smoke when I was getting off work and getting into my car...always on the ride home i had 2 cigs. Another association to break. I feel a little on the edge today, but okay. Everyone have a peaceful smoke free day.

Great attitude newme!
Let us know how it went, and remember, after you deal with that smoking association without smoking a bunch of times, the urge will decrease, and eventually disappear.
Uh, Mercy,
They let you walk around outside sans clothes where you live? Must be quite the interesting place

New me,
Remember, as smokers these prople will be consumed with smoking thoughts on when they can have thier next nicotine fix.
These smokers need to consume nicotine at least every 45 minutes to maintain thier Nicotine withdrawl to a bearable level to alow them to function as 'normal' human beings.
You my friend, may have the odd smoking thought but you will not need to do this anymore.

New me,
Try and view work as a way to pass the time. I actually have a much harder time being home with free/relaxing time on my hands.
I wish I saw this sooner. I just wanted to remind you to have something in place when you get out of work. That is usually a hard trigger for most people.
I found that when I got home I would wip my cloths off and take a brisk walk. It worked like a charm everytime.
