Kayla, Take some time, take some tears, take lots of deep breaths.
This has made you stonger and more determined.
Teenagers can be heaven and hell! When you have a calm moment tell you how losing your quit made you 'feel', and how some other issues make you feel and how she makes you feel.
Too many times we don't actually talk to our kids about feelings, we just fight with them over rules. I had a very rebellious daughter who some nights I swore the devil sent her to haunt me. I talked for many hours with her. Now she is happily married and a Mom herself.
(There is sweet justice though, the little one is rebellious too)
When my Mom was dying, she said Parents don't tell their kids often enough that they love them." So I always try to remember to tell them I love them, even when it is hard to say!
Take some time to revive, you can stay on track. Hang in there girl and just yell if you need to vent. We are here! :)

Kayla
We've all been where you are now. I've also quit before but ended up caving in. We have to keep trying no matter how many times.
I have one son that is schzophrenic and he is living in a center where they can handle him when he's out of control. We do bring him home once in a while for a day and my stress level goes off the charts.
Keep trying, we will be there for you.

No smoking didn't help!! I smoked one cigarette and felt like getting sick. I chose to smoke over hitting my kid.I raised my hand after repeated back talk and cursing at me and she threatened to have me arrested if I laid a hand on her which I wouldn't have done it anyway and it hurt to hear her say that. Her father put in her head that if move to the town that I'm looking to buy in that he would take me to court because it's too far for him to pick her up on weekends. It's only 10 minutes from where I live now. Go figure and I'm already taking him to court for non payment of support. So as you can see this is not something that is going to end anytime soon. I'm not going to reset my meter at this time. If I give up the fight I will but for now I have to keep trying

First off, you will always have those 73 days quit. This is not a failure, but a lesson learned, as I assume you can answer the question "Did smoking help" with a NO.
I have started and stopped many times. Doesn't mean you have to stop coming here. You know what you need to do, and how to do it. You can do it!. Continuing to smoke is not going to solve any problems. As a matter of fact, financially, it will make things worse.
What we have to learn in all this is that there is no reason to smoke. You make that choice. We must believe that there can be no smoking - no matter what life throws our way...and that it will be infinitely better that way.

Oh...and about her not caring about your quit, when I was a teen, I was the center of the universe. It was all about me. As they say: too bad they can't move out and support themselves while they still know everything.

Oh, kayla, I feel awful for you. I have a 16 year old daughter and I know exactly what you mean. They are evil, selfish little creatures and they break our hearts every day. It has to be that way or we would not be able to let them go when it's time. I know too how stessful it is to be on your own with them and have to do it all. You just never feel that you can do it all right & guilty so much of the time. I know you've asked yoursef this, but did the smoking help at all? I bet not & now you feel even worse. You are strong enough to deal with whatever comes along, look what you've already accomplished. If life was supposed to be easy, we wouldn't need any friends. Please get back on, kayla, you can do it & you know how much we all want to help.
