***Sorry for the double post, I also meant to say your post has inspired me though. Great to see how you can drink and not smoke. Your post about Jack is making me drool over here! Im not a heavy drinker by anymeans BUT since quitting Ive stopped all together. I wanna be smoke free for at least 1 month before attempting any kind of drinking. I was talking to a friend last night who said he'd done the patc h and quit for 3 months before starting again. I was in shock. When I asked him why after so long he said he had 4 beers one night and couldnt control it. I dont want that to be me. thats the feel i have gotten over the last 3 weeks. Ofcourse I still want one occassionally, but i do not think about it that much anymore. In my first month I thought about it almost all the time - ! The ideal place to aspire to is this fir now - becasue at least for me its allowed me to work through most triggers and no longer affect me. This is huge becasueif those triggers are no linger triggers and can in fact make you feel better about non smoking - what a victory. My biggest trigger back fire positively was drinking. If a poured a Jack, i lit up instantly, and as long as i was sipping Jack I had one lit - such fun! After I stopped - a Jack was a nightmare for me - i would tentatively drink one and mourn the loss of Jacks perfect partner - but id get buy -just press along. Now i look forward to a jack on a friday, and look even more forward that my throat will not be hurting, that i will not be surrounded by a cloud of smoke so that everyone thinks i.m trash, i will not smell - will not cough, or get nauseous from oversmoking due to being intoxicated. finding old neg triggers and can become positive experiences is truly when you go from ex-smoker to a non-smoker - thats where i,m for wife and especially the 3 yr old boy loves - i did for them My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 123 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,460 Amount Saved: $448.95 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 22 Mins: 17 Seconds: 32
