Lainey, As Josie says this site welcomes all. I've heard that some sites shut you out if you cave for fear that you may discourage others. But as hard as it is to hear the stories of those that we once followed, but have suddenly caved, I think we learn. But it is hard, almost like we don't want to click on the post because we so admired a fellow member and their quit. I think that many of the veterans here will tell you that they came and left several times, and this site allows you to keep your name. You can actually see a persons struggle if you wish to search it. It is a difficult blessing to read of these failures, but I think it does help us grow in our own quit. I just feel so very sad for them that the craving took hold of them so badly. I remember a few weeks into my quit I was dreaming about having a cigarette. I would dream of walking to the shop and buying a packet, walking home, sitting in my conservatory, taking the wraper off and taking a drag on it!! I woke up feeling so bad!! I really felt as though I had given in for a little while. Thankfully I'm still not smoking. :) I found around the 40 day mark quite difficult, especially after feeling for a while as though I was getting better. I feel more in control of my life now. That is a fantastic feeling!!

Lainey, I think those failures, are part of that particuar persons quit. Some people quit first try...others quit on the second try...yet others on the third or fourth. Now .... as for me..... don't even ask how many trys!!! LOL ;p All kidding aside... I don't even know how many times I have quit....BUT..BUT.....like Marty... this quit for me is different. I am GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTING THAT LED ME TO THE PLACE I AM AT NOW..... for without every event.... and every failure I would have no bench mark or... on hand experience. On a brighter note........I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel...........AND IT IS EXCITING AND WORTH EVERY CRAVE THESE PAST 11 WEEKS. Wait till you see what it is like to go hours and not think about smoking!!!! Be firm...don't slip up so you can feel the "freedom"!!
