Sounds like you've made a plan Smokey! Re-start the Chantix. Eat right before you take it, then drink a huge glass of water with it - then it won't upset your stomach. Also, I think the disturbed sleep might be more about nicotine withdrawal than the Chantix! Also, I liked JDK's suggestion of telling your co-workers about your quit & asking them not to give you any cigarettes. Heck, post a "No-Smoking" sign on your computer/desk! THANKS AGAIN,JDK I have sat here and thought why I bummed those cigs,I really have no excuses and really didnt even want them.I am sitting here convincing myself with friends like you, that I can do this.I had stopped taking the chantix ,but started back yesterday morning where I left off,2 blues aday.Hopefully they will kick in and help me to stop smoking again.I had not used them for over a week now,the reason, I had stopped is that they upset my stomach and I could not sleep. The chantix was working great for me otherwise,so I will go at a quit again,Iam determined to quit, however long it takes.

I wondered where you got those cigarettes from :) If theres a couple whom you've asked for cigarettes, tell them that you have quit smoking and not to offer you cigarettes even if you beg and plead. It can work sometimes. Maybe they don't know you're quitting. Some may actually turn out to be really supportive. Go for it smokey, you can do anything, just take it a step at a time. Smokey - If you really want to quit... (1) Get rid of EVERY cigarette (2) Get rid of EVERY match, lighter, ashtray (3) Consider a NRT or medication (e.g. Chantix) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,591 Amount Saved: $292.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 19 Mins: 51 Seconds: 17

Smokey, if you are still smoking, than its obvious, that you are not ready to quit again. You have to prepare yourself, if you still have cigarettes in your house, then again, you are not ready. Take some time to regroup, prepare, get your head in the right place, then come back and join us! We'll be here! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 36 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 911 Amount Saved: $379.8 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 9 Mins: 39 Seconds: 7

Hi Smokey, Do you know what triggered you to smoke? If it is something identifiable then it would be worth having a thought about how to cope if/when that situation happens again. By even being on this site you're already in the thinking in the right direction to a smoke-free life. Thats the way I look at it anyway. I'm not the most qualified to say anything as I am at the very start of my road to recovery, but just wanted to give some verbal support.
